This extraordinary and heartful offering takes the audience on a journey through music, movement, and spoken word, within the tapestry of mystic poetry by Rumi, the 13th century ecstatic poet of unparalleled lyrical and spiritual power, and the emotional renderings of medieval Kashmiri mystic poetess, Lalla, both translated by the celebrated American poet and translator, Coleman Barks. With extraordinary musicians and storydancer who create conversations in rhythms, weaving melody and harmony, audiences are delighted and surprised at the artistry that spans genres of East and West. Love in the Midst<\/i>, brought to life with Mystic Consortium, reminds us that we can live within the heart of the mystical, while being at one with humanity.
